further Updates coming soon

UPDATE:  June 8th, 2020

  • We are monitoring the situation regarding orders from the province about numbers of people allowed to gather.  In the event that the province allows us to have at least 25 people to gather we will go ahead with a modified season.  We will make a call to cancel the season altogether on or by July 13th, 2020.

  • Keep in mind that if we do get the go ahead for a season we will have to organize very quickly.  This would include in person registration as well as continued online registration the week following the announcement.  We ask at this time that parents be aware we will be calling upon them to help coaches out by volunteering to be the dugout parent.  Responsibilities would include sanitizing bats between use, sanitizing balls between innings, ensuring players are practicing social distancing as will be outlined by the district health unit and working together with the coaches and umpire to make sure the game runs smoothly.

  • We are sorry to announce that the T-Ball and Coach Pitch programs will not be going forward this year.  A refund will be issued to those who have already registered.

  • In order to prepare for the possible upcoming season we are placing a call out to all Umpires from last year to get in touch with Karen @ 632-8704 or Meighan @251-8221.  Call or text.  For any new people wishing to umpire we will be holding an umpire clinic on June 20th at George Burke Park.  Only 9 people may attend at a time.  We will go in three groups.  1st group 12:00-1:00, 2nd group 1:00-2:00 and 3rd group 2:00-3:00.  Please contact Karen or Meighan with any questions or concerns regarding umpiring.

We realize that the last thing on people’s mind right now is Little League Baseball, but in case you were wondering if there’s going to be a baseball season this year, we thought we would send out a short notice of where we’re at as a league and what our plan is going forward.

Currently, like the vast majority of sports organizations around the world, our little league baseball is on pause and will remain so until such time as the Covid19 emergency is lifted. If you check our web site (, you’ll notice that effective April 14 our on-line registration system will be operational and players wanting to register can do so at your leisure. If, in the next few weeks, or month we get the go ahead to start our baseball season, we plan to start with games immediately. We have decided to suspend our All-Star Programme for this year and will focus our full attention to the completion of our regular season. With the suspension of our all-star programme we can then extend the season into July or Aug if need be. Again, this extension of the season is dependent on the provincial authorities giving the go ahead to have large gatherings.

In the event we are forced to cancel the season because of the Covid19, parents will be notified and all players’ registration fees will be refunded in full.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we will not be holding in person registration or evaluations until further notice.
